Air Quality Conditions:
Particle pollution concentrations are being observed in the upper Code Green range for the Triangle this morning, while elsewhere across the state both ozone and particle pollution levels are well within the Code Green range. For a display of the most recent Air Quality Index (AQI) conditions throughout the day, please visit the US EPA's AIRNOW web site. Real-time air quality monitoring data is also available on the NC Division of Air Quality's real-time monitoring data web pages for Ozone and Particle Pollution.

Morning Edition:
Partly to mostly clear skies are being observed across the state this morning. Behind the cold front that passed through the state last night, high pressure is building into the region from the north resulting in light winds out of the northeast. This will keep both ozone and particle pollution in the Code Green range across most of the state, however the Charlotte and Hickory regions may see ozone readings elevate into the upper Code Green/lower Code Yellow range due to the fact that winds will be the weakest in these areas.
